Job description

Summary

Join a dynamic construction and service industry team as a Data Analyst specializing in Power BI. Play a key role in developing and maintaining dashboards that support finance, operations, and project management leaders. Translate complex business questions into clear, accurate, and actionable reports, ensuring data quality and consistency across multiple enterprise systems. Your insights will directly influence project reviews, financial closures, and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 3 years of experience in developing Power BI reports, with a proven ability to create structured and efficient dashboards for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrate strong command of DAX, including proficiency in time intelligence and financial calculations.
  • Have prior experience in industries such as construction, MEP contracting, field service, or related project-based accounting, including WIP, POC, job costing, and project billing.
  • Exhibit working knowledge of ERP systems like IFS, ComputerEase, Vista by Viewpoint, Sage Intacct, or comparable platforms.
  • Maintain solid SQL skills for data querying and validation purposes.
  • Have experience working within managed Power BI environments, utilizing deployment pipelines and security features.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and publish Power BI dashboards and reports tailored for various business units and executive stakeholders.
  • Develop semantic models and datasets in conjunction with Data Architects, writing necessary DAX measures and calculated columns.
  • Manage and update existing dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and integrating stakeholder feedback.
  • Validate data from source systems against reports, identifying and escalating any discrepancies.
  • Provide support for projects, such as IFS lobby migration, by developing alternative Power BI solutions.
  • Document report logic, data sources, and essential business rules to facilitate ongoing reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Project Management teams to refine reports that address critical business inquiries.
