Data Analyst

Role overview

ActivTrak is seeking a meticulous, insight-driven Data Analyst to help turn complex data into practical recommendations that improve business performance. In this role, you will work with large datasets, build and refine reporting tools, and share findings in a way that is useful for both technical teams and business stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Build, enhance, and maintain business intelligence dashboards and report templates.
• Create interactive reports that turn productivity information into actionable operational insights for customers.
• Work on data connections with external systems to strengthen reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers to check data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Set up and improve validation routines that protect the quality of analytical output.
• Analyze workforce and productivity patterns using SQL and Python.
• Present recommendations that help customers improve performance and make better decisions.
• Respond to internal ad-hoc data requests from teams such as HR, Operations, and Product.
• Query important datasets from Google BigQuery and deliver accurate results quickly.
• Help improve productivity measurement models so they continue to match changing business priorities and customer needs.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject such as Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with advanced SQL, BI tools, Python, API integrations, analytics/reporting, ETL, data warehousing, AppScripts, and PowerShell.
• Practical experience using Google BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong ability to explain complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working independently, managing ambiguity, and collaborating across teams.
• A detail-focused, proactive mindset with a genuine interest in building effective solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Experience in workforce analytics is preferred.
