About the Role

Join our nationally recognized team of engineering, geospatial, and technology professionals as a Data Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, querying, analyzing, visualizing, and documenting data to generate reliable insights, dashboards, reports, and decision-support tools. Your work will transform complex data into actionable insights for a variety of client-focused projects, including infrastructure, planning, transportation, and environmental initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct descriptive, exploratory, and applied data analysis to assist project teams by summarizing trends, developing key metrics, and preparing analytical outputs for reports, presentations, and strategic decision-making.
  • Gather, cleanse, organize, validate, and document datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data quality through rigorous checks and preparing it effectively for analysis.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, data visualizations, maps, charts, tables, and other decision-support tools to clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Document all data sources, assumptions made, quality assurance/quality control processes, workflows, and analytical methodologies employed. Support the creation of standardized processes, templates, and basic automation.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, planners, technical specialists, data scientists, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery and meet data-related requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, GIS, Geography, Planning, or a closely related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Possess 3 to 5 years of relevant data analysis experience, or 2 to 4 years of experience if holding a Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, and Excel.
  • Experience utilizing data visualization platforms like Power BI, ArcGIS Dashboards, Tableau, or comparable systems.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online is advantageous.
  • Prior experience supporting client-facing consulting or engaging in project-based analytical work is preferred.
  • Proven project and task management capabilities, with the ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with a talent for articulating complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
  • Must be adaptable, self-motivated, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving.
