About the OpportunityThis role sits within a Mumbai-based team supporting the company’s expanding Indian content slate. The position is centered on helping shape local content creation and acquisition in India, while working in a highly collaborative setting where legal expertise and business priorities are closely aligned. The team is expected to play a meaningful part in strengthening India as a major market.The successful hire will join the Business & Legal Affairs function and partner closely with creative teams, producers, and talent to structure content arrangements and ensure business goals are reflected within production and licensing frameworks. The work is fast-moving, highly cross-functional, and suited to someone who is comfortable balancing commercial strategy with legal judgment in a global environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStructure, negotiate, and finalize deals, with primary emphasis on original content development, production arrangements, and licensing contracts.Prepare legal documentation tailored to the specific business context and transaction requirements.Carry out market, industry, and region-specific research to support deal-making and decision-making.Work across teams to keep business, creative, and legal stakeholders aligned.Remain flexible and ready to handle additional assignments as business needs evolve.Candidate ProfileThe preferred candidate will bring deep entertainment and media experience, strong commercial negotiation capability, and the confidence to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. This role calls for someone who can advise creative partners, collaborate with global colleagues, and make decisions that carry both business and legal consequences.Requirements8–10+ years of broad media and entertainment experience, particularly in drafting, commercial negotiations, and business analysis.Prior exposure to negotiating with talent, production houses, studios, and financing-related stakeholders is an advantage.Strong preference for candidates who are fluent in both English and Hindi.Comfort working in a high-pressure environment with tight timelines and shifting priorities.Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and contribute effectively within a small team.Experience managing outside counsel and coordinating work across multiple functions.Sound judgment, strong analytical thinking, and a practical, solution-oriented approach.Adaptable negotiation style and genuine interest in international content strategy and diverse cultures.Additional InformationThe organization emphasizes inclusion and aims to provide an accessible interview experience.
