Role Summary

The Content Manager helps shape digital communication across email and social channels. The role works closely with the Director of Marketing on email campaign execution, while independently managing social strategy, publishing, and content planning. A Marketing and PR Coordinator supports scheduling, asset coordination, and production tasks across both channels.

Email Marketing Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Marketing to carry email campaigns from planning through launch.
  • Create, test, and send email campaigns for performances, subscriptions, donor outreach, and special events.
  • Turn campaign strategy and segmentation plans into fully built email executions.
  • Assist with email copy development while the Director of Marketing sets voice, tone, and final messaging direction.
  • Check that emails display correctly, function properly, and perform well across devices and platforms.
  • Coordinate production schedules, quality checks, and deployment timing with internal partners.
  • Help review results and performance data to identify optimization opportunities.

Social Media Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, planning, and publishing process for social media across all platforms.
  • Create and maintain monthly and seasonal content calendars tied to campaign priorities.
  • Manage day-to-day publishing, scheduling, and social content delivery.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and outside creatives to produce campaign-aligned, social-first content.
  • Keep brand voice, tone, and visual storytelling consistent across channels.
  • Track engagement and content performance, then adjust the approach based on results.
  • Monitor platform trends and bring forward new ideas and content formats.

Content Coordination and Team Support

  • Guide the Marketing Coordinator on execution, scheduling, asset organization, and production workflows.
  • Maintain content calendars, asset tracking tools, and publishing timelines for email and social.
  • Coordinate approvals and input from other departments to support campaign delivery.
  • Ensure all content follows brand standards and organizational guidelines.
  • Support the Director of Marketing in keeping campaign structure, timelines, and execution clear.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in email marketing, social media management, or digital content roles. Candidates should have practical experience building and launching campaigns in an email marketing or CRM platform, along with strong experience managing social media for a brand or organization.

Strong organization, attention to detail, and project management skills are essential, as are clear writing and editing abilities, especially for email content. Applicants should understand segmentation, audience targeting, and campaign workflows, and be comfortable sharing execution responsibilities in a collaborative marketing environment. The role also requires the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting and a genuine interest in performing arts, entertainment, or cultural organizations.

Preferred qualifications include experience with email and CRM tools, especially Wordfly; familiarity with social scheduling and analytics platforms; basic comfort with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite; and bilingual ability, which is a plus.

Application Instructions

Applicants should submit a resume, a cover letter describing relevant experience, and two examples of email or social campaigns with a note about their role in each. Applications should be sent by email. No agencies or phone calls, please.
