The Communications TeamOur Communications team is instrumental in articulating Noom's narrative to a global audience. We manage media relations, brand storytelling, executive communications, and thought leadership to enhance awareness, build credibility, and drive engagement. We collaborate closely with various departments to ensure our messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with Noom's overarching goal of improving health outcomes at scale.
About The RoleWe are seeking a Communications Associate to bolster our external communications strategy. This position is crucial for driving operational efficiency, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and increasing strategic visibility within the Communications department. You will be central to the team's daily operations, managing workflows, nurturing external relationships, supporting events, engaging with media, and contributing to diverse initiatives. This role acts as a key liaison, ensuring communication efforts are synchronized, measurable, and effectively executed to amplify Noom's brand presence both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the Communications team, ensuring alignment of priorities, adherence to timelines, and efficient progress of initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors involved in communications, PR, and brand activities.
- Act as a cross-functional liaison, organizing workshops, alignment meetings, and collaborative projects across different departments.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of Noom-hosted events and community engagement activities, ensuring smooth operations and brand consistency.
- Support the coordination of external conference participation and speaking engagements, including messaging alignment and logistical management.
- Develop and nurture relationships with media contacts within the public relations landscape.
- Create and refine content for various platforms, including social media, blog posts, and executive talking points, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of both internal and external communication strategies.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, enhancement of reporting mechanisms, and improvement of inter-team communication systems.
- Manage additional communication functions such as award submissions, event calendar oversight, and vendor coordination.

What You Bring- 1 to 4 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, brand marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and acting as a liaison between departments.
- Exceptional skills in building and maintaining relationships with external partners, agencies, and media representatives.
- Experience in supporting or coordinating live events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
- Proficiency in writing and editing, with the ability to tailor communication style for different audiences and platforms (press, social media, executive).
- Comfort in utilizing analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to interpret data into actionable insights.
- Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment.
- A proactive and collaborative approach with a strong sense of accountability.
- Familiarity with journalist databases (e.g., MuckRack, Cision) and paid media tools (Google, Meta) is advantageous.
- Prior experience in the health or related industries is highly desirable.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $87,000 annually. The final compensation will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
This role is based in our New York or Princeton offices and requires a hybrid work arrangement, with two days per week spent on-site.
