Job description

Role Overview

NTT DATA is looking for a seasoned Client Manager to support the Government and PSU business from Gurgaon. The role is centered on growing accounts, strengthening client partnerships, and applying market understanding to turn customer needs into practical service solutions.

As the main contact for assigned clients, you will handle concerns, keep satisfaction levels high, and work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive business outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Build and use strong commercial judgement to plan effectively and align activity with business needs.
  • Manage client relationships across the full lifecycle within the Government and PSU segment to improve engagement and generate revenue.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s offerings, customer use cases, and market direction.
  • Sell networking, data center, and cybersecurity solutions with confidence.
  • Grow assigned accounts through new business, expansion, and renewal opportunities.
  • Identify, pursue, and convert leads into business.
  • Reduce client churn while improving retention across managed accounts.
  • Support clients through each stage of their buying journey to maintain strong satisfaction.
  • Uncover client needs and clearly position how NTT DATA’s services and solutions can create value.
  • Work with vendors and other stakeholders to secure the outcomes needed.
  • Use the company’s sales process and tools to manage accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and forecasts.
  • Encourage additional revenue by guiding clients toward more services.
  • Serve as a dependable relationship owner for clients.
  • Assess solution requirements and coordinate with other teams to deliver the right fit.
  • Maintain long-term relationships while understanding the client’s industry, operating environment, and strategy to spot future opportunities.
  • Help shape governance and compliance practices to control risk exposure and liability.
  • Monitor financial governance and compliance within the area of specialization to manage cost responsibly.

Requirements

  • Experience in client management and sales within the Government and PSU sector.
  • Strong business and sales acumen.
  • Hands-on capability in managing client relationships across the full lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of networking, data center, and cybersecurity solution selling.
  • Ability to manage pipelines, opportunities, forecasting, and account plans using sales tools and methodology.
  • Skill in building trust-based client relationships and driving retention.
  • Understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Ability to work with vendors and cross-functional teams to achieve results.
  • Academic background in BE or an MBA is preferred; a postgraduate qualification is considered beneficial.
  • Relevant vendor certifications are also valued.

Eligibility

Professionals with experience in Government and PSU account management, particularly those comfortable working in Gurgaon and handling enterprise solution sales, are suitable for this role.

Qualifications

BE or MBA preferred. Postgraduate qualification is an advantage. Relevant vendor certifications are desirable.

Additional Information

This position is based in Gurgaon and requires an onsite work arrangement. The role is focused on business growth, client satisfaction, retention, and account expansion in the Government and PSU vertical.
