About the role

In this position, you will lead Google’s retail activation and channel sales programs across India. The role centers on running the day-to-day operations of store-level promoter activities and field teams, while ensuring the programs deliver strong commercial outcomes. You will bring retail and sales expertise to guide a complex portfolio of products, manage operational budgets, and influence both internal teams and external partners.

Minimum qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in retail management, field sales leadership, or channel marketing.
  • Hands-on experience handling budgets, operational expenditure, and performance reporting.
  • Background in managing retail promoters or other field-based programs.
  • Experience working with agencies or vendors and overseeing project delivery.

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior exposure to the consumer electronics space.
  • Ability to use data for decision-making, along with strong analytical and investigative thinking.
  • A demonstrated record of improving performance and delivering results in retail settings.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align and influence multiple internal and external groups.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and optimize the in-store promoter program to increase sell-out of Google devices and services, including target setting, daily execution, like-for-like growth, and ROI reviews of channel initiatives.
  • Own the OPEX and P&L for promoter and merchandising programs, covering annual and quarterly planning, forecasting, and variance tracking.
  • Manage third-party vendors, monitor performance against SLAs, and support the development, coaching, and coordination of the vendor CSA team.
  • Deliver smooth execution of customer programs, retail experience launches, and new product introductions inside partner stores, while gathering, analyzing, and sharing performance data and consumer insights.
  • Work closely with India sales leadership to shape short-, medium-, and long-term plans that improve sales, product visibility, and customer engagement.
