Role overview
This position supports the CCTV crew in carrying out safe, efficient, and high-quality inspection work across the Queenstown Lakes District. The role also assists with network-related RFS jobs when those tasks are allocated to the CCTV team, while making sure company procedures and client expectations are met.
What the job involves
- Supporting the onsite delivery of CCTV inspections for wastewater and stormwater networks, along with flushing work.
- Operating flushing equipment to clear or unblock pipes in line with CCTV campaign needs or operational RFS requirements.
- Assisting the wider regional operations team whenever needed.
- Checking that fleet and equipment remain serviceable and promptly reporting faults or unserviceability to the CCTV Team Leader.
- Following Veolia New Zealand health and safety requirements and environmental policies, including participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Working within the company business management system to help deliver safe wastewater services that meet or exceed client requirements.

Requirements
- Confined Space, First Aid, and Site Safe certification.
- At least 1 year of CCTV operating experience.
- Strong capability with CCTV systems and jetting/flushing equipment.
- Experience in three waters network operations and maintenance is an advantage.
- Comfort using computers.
- Current New Zealand Class 1 driver licence.
- Willingness to work outside normal hours or away from home when needed.
- Ability to keep accurate work records.
- Self-motivated approach with strong integrity and work ethic.
- Capability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Practical problem-solving ability and confidence in decision-making.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
