Job description

Role overview

This is a permanent, full-time caretaker position based in Medway, with a 42.5-hour working week. The annual salary is up to £28,737.55, and the package includes a company van and fuel card for work-related travel.

You will join a local team responsible for carrying out high-quality caretaking services across housing properties. The role is centered on delivering excellent customer service while meeting the required standards for safety, quality, and cost control.

This is a field-based position covering the Medway area. Day-to-day work will include cleaning, repairs, and maintenance tasks completed in line with agreed procedures and expected timeframes.

Key duties

The role involves keeping housing blocks and related properties well maintained, ensuring standards are consistently met across assigned sites.

You will also take a proactive approach to planned preventative maintenance and compliance activities, making sure recurring checks and upcoming work are scheduled appropriately.

Regular responsibilities include supporting fire risk assessment activity, seasonal upkeep, and scheduled safety inspections.

Experience and skills needed

Applicants should have previous experience in caretaking or cleaning. Strong written and spoken communication skills are required, along with good numeracy.

You should be comfortable working to standard operating procedures and able to use a PDA after training.
