Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Care Responder to join our team in Northside, Dublin. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards of service delivery and offering essential field support to our Healthcare Assistants. As an 'on-call' Healthcare Assistant, you will work a structured 5-day week, covering unexpected staff shortages, responding to emergencies, and assisting the broader team. You will be providing care to a diverse adult population, including the elderly and individuals with long-term disabilities, requiring comprehensive personal and social support.

Core Responsibilities

  • Covering unscheduled staff absences to ensure uninterrupted client care.
  • Participating in a monthly on-call rotation, which includes one weekend per month.
  • Delivering high-quality personal and social care according to individual care plans.
  • Responding to urgent situations in the field to ensure client safety.
  • Efficiently traveling between client locations throughout Northside Dublin.
  • Mentoring and supporting new staff members during their onboarding.
  • Accurately documenting all care activities and reporting concerns in line with company policies and health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting field supervisors and management with operational tasks.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Care Assistant in a community setting.
  • QQI/FETAC Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in a Healthcare discipline.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential.
  • Current certifications in CPR and Patient Moving & Handling.
  • A full, clean Irish or European driving license and access to your own vehicle.
  • Ability to provide excellent professional and character references.
  • Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting.

Additional Information
