Role Overview

The Buying Coordinator will support the Buying team across retail and wholesale operations. This is a highly collaborative position that works closely with multiple cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, innovative, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities. A strong interest in fashion and sustainability is essential, and strong performers may grow into category management and broader strategic buying responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create accurate and timely purchase orders and monitor them through the full lifecycle for both retail and wholesale business.
  • Keep calendars and deadlines on track so internal teams receive the information they need when they need it.
  • Support documentation updates and help maintain clean, current, and reliable data.
  • Partner with the buying team on assortment planning and assortment management for the apparel business.
  • Coordinate with production, merchandising, planning, and wholesale sales teams to keep work aligned across functions.
  • Review sales performance on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis to support decision-making.
  • Spot opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and systems, and share recommendations with management.
  • Assist with daily team tasks and contribute wherever needed.
  • Take initiative and contribute beyond core assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1 to 3 years of apparel experience, preferably with a retailer or e-commerce company.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability.
  • Solid prioritization and time-management skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle complexity within a growing organization.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Compensation

The expected base pay for this role is $22 to $25 per hour, depending on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. The position may also qualify for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to company performance, department goals, and individual contribution. Bonus eligibility and amounts are not guaranteed.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position based in Culver City and Vernon, Los Angeles. The role requires four days in the office each week and one remote day. Compensation decisions may vary based on individual circumstances and business needs. A California Applicant Privacy Notice is also referenced.
