Job description
Role Overview
This contract opportunity is for experienced biologists who can contribute to an AI training initiative. The work focuses on reviewing machine-generated answers, checking the quality of reasoning and step-by-step problem solving, and supplying expert feedback so that outputs become more accurate, logical, and clearly presented.
You will assess biological responses for correctness, clarity, and alignment with the prompt, spot mistakes in concepts or methods, verify scientific facts, draft strong biology explanations and model answers that demonstrate the right approach, and compare multiple AI outputs based on biological accuracy and reasoning quality.
Important Note
There is no active project attached to this role at the moment. If you meet the qualifications, you may be contacted first when suitable work becomes available. Being qualified may also give you access to future assignments through the expert network.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed biology prompts and response examples that can be used to train AI across a range of topics.
- Review, score, and rank AI-generated answers to improve accuracy, fluency, and relevance to context.
- Check AI systems for errors and bias, and help confirm that results are dependable across different use cases.
- Evaluate the correctness of biological explanations, methodology, and conceptual understanding.
- Fact-check biology content using reliable public sources.
- Write clear, high-quality biological solutions that reflect sound reasoning and proper methods.
Candidate Profile
- MS or PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Physiology, or a similar life-science discipline from a top 100 university.
- Strong knowledge of human and animal biology, molecular pathways, physiology, disease and health fundamentals, and lab or experimental reasoning.
- Experience creating or carefully reviewing advanced biology materials such as problem sets, proofs, textbook content, or research notes.
- Ability to verify information accurately using public sources across multiple areas.
- Published in a peer-reviewed journal.
- Able to explain complex biology in a clear, practical way.
- Advanced English proficiency at C1 level or above, with excellent writing ability.
- Additional advantage if you have experience in data labeling, RLHF, or AI model evaluation.
Additional Information
This role is intended for expert contributors who can support AI training and evaluation projects, particularly in biology-focused tasks. Suitable candidates should be comfortable working with scientific content at an advanced level and translating that knowledge into high-quality training feedback.
