Role overview
Aon is seeking an Associate Director for its Corporate team in Auckland. In this position, you will help expand a client portfolio, deepen long-term client relationships, and deliver insurance solutions tailored to each client’s requirements. The role combines client management, new business development, technical broking support, and team leadership, all within a business focused on delivering clear and dependable advice to clients.
Key responsibilities
- Expand existing business in line with branch goals and contribute to new business targets.
- Deliver accurate, timely broking support, including premium calculations and client paperwork.
- Manage renewals, maintain client records, and support effective credit control practices.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal team members.
- Supervise staff and help foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- Support the company’s Health, Safety, and Wellbeing commitments and uphold its values.
Skills and experience
Success in this role will come from being commercially minded, client-oriented, and able to balance several priorities while working accurately and professionally.
- Background in the insurance sector, preferably in broking or corporate account management.
- Strong precision when handling premiums, documentation, and claims-related information.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for working with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to stay composed under pressure, with sound problem-solving and conflict-handling skills.
- A proactive mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage.
