Job description

Role overview

This position sits within the Flight Services and Fuel Efficiency Department under the Total Mission Management (TMM) Division. The selected candidate will help coordinate crew scheduling activities and support day-to-day technical crew operations in a fast-paced airline environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Make sure every flight is staffed with the correct technical crew while complying with all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Adjust crew duty times and operating patterns when delays or disruptions occur, ensuring statutory limits and the Collective Agreement are not breached.
  • Identify the most suitable re-crewing solution to reduce flight delays caused by operating interruptions or crew issues.
  • Carry out daily validation and submission of APP (Advanced Passenger Processing) for all positioning and operating crew, and submit APIS (Advanced Passenger Information System) manually when required.
  • Inform technical crew of roster changes, flight retimes, or delays, and respond to their questions.
  • Provide operational support for technical crew through the CMX system.
  • Handle administrative matters related to technical crew training using the MINT system.
  • Assist with e-ticketing arrangements for technical crew positioning.
  • Take on any other duties assigned by the department.

Requirements

  • A diploma in any field is required.
  • Qualifications related to aviation will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in aviation or airline operations will be beneficial, though not mandatory.
  • Applicants without prior relevant experience may still be considered.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are important.
  • Must be able to assess situations well and prioritize urgent tasks effectively.
  • High attention to detail is needed to carry out procedures accurately.
  • Should be able to work independently and also contribute well within a team in a busy environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are expected.
  • Must be comfortable using IT systems, operational tools, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work across multiple applications is necessary.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills are required.
  • Must be willing to work shift schedules.
  • This is a 3-year contract role.
