About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Brand Manager to join a $400 million dietary supplement business within a Fortune 100 Food & Beverage Manufacturing company. This role focuses on executing initiatives, analyzing business performance, and managing budgets. You will support the development of the annual marketing plan, implement consumer and customer promotional programs, and coordinate with various departments to ensure successful sales communications, on-package messaging, and new item launches. The position involves identifying and leading brand growth opportunities across all brand facets.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Brand Management team to analyze brand and competitor performance, aiding in the development of marketing plans and brand strategies to meet sales and profit objectives.
- Assist in crafting the Market Business Strategy and Integrated Commercial Planning.
- Prepare materials for and participate in monthly Pre Commercial Review meetings with broader teams.
- Coordinate the creation and rollout of advertising and promotional tactics, including shopper activations, consumer promotions, and social/digital creative.
- Provide marketing initiative support to the sales organization.
- Aid in the execution of customer marketing initiatives and new product launches.
- Assist with various marketing executions such as digital campaigns and coupon distribution.
- Manage the quantitative and qualitative assessment of product performance using tools like IRI reporting and weekly consumption data.
- Utilize tracking tools, including scanning and panel data, to identify, analyze, and interpret market and channel dynamics.
- Identify and leverage secondary data sources to evaluate industry trends, competitive landscapes, customer feedback, and marketing needs.
- Lead the launch of line extensions, flavor variations, and other new products, including planning for a new probiotic for women's wellness.
- Oversee the Brand budget (PFME), organizing monthly alignment meetings with cross-functional partners to establish budget phasing.
- Ensure monthly budget alignment with the cross-functional team and input phasing into SAP and the finance file.
- Reconcile actual expenditures against planned budgets.
- Work with the Customer Development Manager and Sales Teams to create sales communications and customer-specific marketing programs.
- Manage agency partnerships and contribute to creative development.
- Liaise with external licensing partners as needed.
Requirements
- Possess internship or prior work experience (minimum 1 year, including internships) in brand management within the CPG Food, CPG Personal Product, or OTC brand sectors.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market dynamics into actionable strategies.
- Exhibit strategic agility, a collaborative team-player mindset, and a proven capacity for making complex decisions and navigating ambiguity.
- Show ability to influence senior management on strategic decisions using actionable insights.
- Maintain strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit self-starting initiative, independent thinking, and a results-oriented approach with a passion for achieving goals.
- Possess strong presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management.
- Demonstrate a customer-centric focus and the skill to build and maintain effective peer relationships.

Additional Information
This is a contract position with an initial term of 7 months, with the expectation of extension. The role requires Monday-Friday availability with up to 10% travel. Candidates must be located within the United States.
