What the role involves
You will partner with a varied client portfolio, delivering advanced business and financial guidance while also taking responsibility for leading and developing a capable team. The role blends technical depth with strategic advisory thinking and is intended for someone prepared to take on broader leadership and influence.
Core responsibilities
- Provide high-quality advice on business matters, structuring, and financial decisions
- Take ownership of client assignments and maintain strong, trusted client partnerships
- Diagnose client issues and develop practical, tailored responses
- Check and review work to maintain accuracy and technical standards
- Keep up to date with changes in the industry and regulatory environment
- Guide, coach, and support team members in their development
What they are looking for
- At least 8 years of Business Advisory experience within a New Zealand CA firm
- CA qualification, or an equivalent credential, plus a relevant degree
- Strong commercial judgement and proven leadership ability
- A confident, proactive, and client-oriented approach
- Strong motivation to advance toward partnership
