Assistant Project Manager

Role overview

KINDNESS GENERAL CONTRACTORS, INC. is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for an hourly, non-exempt position based in Cypress, CA. What you will do

• Support project managers with planning, organizing, and carrying out projects.
• Help draft requests for information (RFIs).
• Collect requirements and other details needed for project planning.
• Assist project leadership in coordinating activities and resources across the project.
• Work with teams from different functions to build and document business process models.
• Help create and update project schedules.
• Provide administrative support, including meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
• Assist with project status updates and presentation materials.
• Help implement projects by tracking tasks, monitoring progress, and supporting on-time completion.
• Contribute to review of project results and suggest areas where processes or outcomes can be improved.

• Solid understanding of project management methods and standard practices.
• Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail.
• Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently when needed, and take initiative.

• Ability to read blueprints is an added advantage.

Education and experience

A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, or 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. A project management certification is a plus.

Physical requirements

• Extended periods of sitting and computer use are required.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
