Job description

About the Role

Join a global infrastructure consultancy that works on projects designed to improve everyday life, from transport and utilities to major built-environment developments. This role is for an Assistant Project Manager based in Dublin, supporting the delivery of data centre and colocation projects that demand strong coordination, reliability, and technical precision.

What You’ll Do

You will support mission-critical projects across the full lifecycle, from early concept and design through procurement, construction, and commissioning. The role involves working with senior project managers and multidisciplinary teams to help deliver capital projects in both live and new-build colocation environments.

  • Assist with managing projects from start to finish, covering design coordination, procurement support, construction supervision, and commissioning activities in data centre settings.
  • Work alongside senior project managers and cross-functional teams to help deliver capital works in operating and newly built colocation facilities.
  • Act as a daily contact for clients, helping translate their technical, operational, and commercial needs into clear project actions.
  • Support delivery across quality, schedule, budget, and risk management objectives.
  • Monitor and coordinate activities on moderately complex mission-critical projects while keeping programme milestones and operational limits in view.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the project management team, especially in relation to data centre standards and emerging technologies.
  • Build experience across all RIBA Stages 0 to 7, with emphasis on resilience, redundancy, and commissioning processes specific to data centre and colocation infrastructure.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have experience in the buildings sector and bring the following credentials:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related field.
  • Active progress toward Chartered status with RICS, CIOB, ICE, RIBA, or Engineers Ireland.
  • APM membership or affiliation would be a plus.
