This role sits within Nestlé Professionals in North York, Ontario, at 25 Sheppard Ave W, North York, ON M2N 6S8. It is a hybrid position.

Role summary

The Assistant Marketing Manager will support the planning and execution of an 18-month strategy for Nestlé Professional Solutions. The role covers the management of Product Fixed Marketing Expenses, tracking brand performance, and reviewing brand share, including product and packaging for the Professional portfolio. This is an existing vacancy.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide analytical, fact-based support to pinpoint business challenges and opportunities, while tracking brand and competitor performance against core measures such as market share, brand health, and profitability.
  • Manage budgets for Product Fixed Marketing Expenses in Brand Planner, monitor spending, and lead pre- and post-PFME evaluations to measure business impact and performance against key KPIs, then share the findings with the team.
  • Help build customer communication plans and sales tools that align with Brand Building the Nestlé Way standards. Deliver approved packaging, product, and consumer support plans in line with brand vision, essence, budgets, and timelines.
  • Use consumer and market insights, along with trend data, to define the target consumer and deepen customer understanding.
  • Handle general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, coordinating internal events, and preparing marketing presentations.
  • Oversee department pricing activities in coordination with the pricing team, recommend actions for the twice-yearly pricing review, and stay current on market trends and competitor pricing data.
  • Support efforts to maintain accurate stock levels for every product code used by the business unit.
  • Assist distributor partners by providing complete SKU communications, including listing forms and communication letters, and coordinate with pricing to ensure pricing schedule execution happens on time.

Required experience and qualifications

  • 18 to 24 months of experience in consumer-packaged goods or food service marketing.
  • Strong ability in marketing analysis and working with data.
  • Working knowledge of the 4 Ps and how to apply them.
  • A proven history of leading and motivating others within a team setting.
  • Confidence in taking ownership and driving change.
  • Ability to stay resilient and manage shifting priorities effectively.

Preferred background

  • Previous field sales experience of 12 to 18 months is considered an advantage.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is CAD 71,700 to CAD 85,000, plus bonus eligibility. The employer notes that the pay is aligned with Ontario transparency requirements.
