Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team at Bayside Geelong Hotel & Apartments in Geelong, VIC. This full-time, onsite role involves supporting the Hotel Manager in the seamless execution of daily hotel operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction across accommodation, dining, and event services. Your duties will include overseeing front-of-house staff, managing housekeeping and maintenance coordination, and upholding service excellence in all guest-facing areas. You will also contribute to staff scheduling, training initiatives, performance feedback, and support the successful delivery of events in collaboration with our restaurant and conference departments. Additionally, you will manage guest concerns, analyze occupancy and revenue data, and assist in implementing operational enhancements and brand standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in hotel or hospitality management, with a strong track record in daily operations and team leadership.
- Exceptional customer service abilities, dedicated to creating memorable guest experiences.
- Proficient organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills, essential for a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with hotel management software, booking systems, and Microsoft 365.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire diverse teams, promoting an inclusive work culture.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A degree or certification in hospitality, tourism, business, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Prior experience in boutique hotels, full-service establishments, event management, or food and beverage operations is beneficial.
