About the Company
Sunset Hospitality Group is an international lifestyle hospitality business with a broad presence across hotels and resorts, restaurants, beach clubs, nightclubs, fitness centers, and other concepts. The group currently runs 111 properties across 26 countries, with a focus on creating genuine, varied hospitality experiences that connect people worldwide.
Role Overview
This opportunity is for an experienced and energetic Assistant General Manager to join TAPASAKE, a growing dining concept that pairs Japanese cuisine with Mediterranean influences. The venue combines contemporary methods with traditional roots, serving refined food in an elegant setting with scenic views, lively energy, and poolside atmosphere at certain locations. The position is central to day-to-day leadership, commercial results, guest satisfaction, and the launch as well as continued performance of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the General Manager to manage all restaurant operations end to end.
- Guide, motivate, and support front-of-house teams so that service quality and guest experience remain consistently high.
- Increase business performance through strong floor presence, active guest interaction, and smooth operational delivery.
- Track financial results and help meet targets related to sales, staffing costs, and overall profitability.
- Maintain the consistent application of brand guidelines, company policies, and operating procedures.
- Develop and preserve positive relationships with VIP guests, business partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members.
- Oversee adherence to health, safety, hygiene, and internal standards.
- Assist with opening-phase activities such as team deployment, training, and operational readiness.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant brings at least 2 years of experience in a comparable Assistant General Manager position within luxury or lifestyle standalone restaurants. A strong track record in high-volume dining, especially Japanese, Mediterranean, or festive concepts, is important. The role also requires experience leading large front-of-house teams, managing VIP guests, and working with budgets, P&L, and operational KPIs. Prior exposure to pre-opening projects is a strong advantage.
Skills and Language Requirements
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities are essential. English fluency is required, and knowledge of additional European languages is considered an advantage.
