Role overview

Hilton Dublin, located at Charlemont Place in Dublin 2, is hiring an Assistant Financial Controller to support the finance team in a full-time, on-site position. The role is centered on running the finance office day to day, with responsibilities across payroll, financial analysis, reporting, audit support, control checks, and reconciliations. You will also work closely with the Director of Finance and handle additional tasks as needed.

Compensation

The salary for this position is €40,000 to €42,000 per year.

Key duties

  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and make sure all balances are backed by suitable supporting records.
  • Check that financial reports are reliable, complete, and delivered on schedule.
  • Monitor all revenue sources and help protect the accuracy and integrity of POS systems.
  • Make sure hotel payroll is processed promptly and that employees are paid correctly.
  • Assist finance colleagues with day-to-day accounting tasks and help resolve queries quickly where possible.
  • Take responsibility for cash handling processes, including floats, cash transit, safe procedures, and spot checks.
  • Manage debtor collections and uphold the hotel’s credit policy through consistent follow-through.
  • Oversee accounts payable activities, including supplier reconciliations and timely payment of vendors.
  • Support the external auditor during the annual audit and ensure the business is properly prepared.
  • Carry out any other duties required by the business.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant will have prior experience in a comparable finance role within the hotel industry. Strong accuracy, a keen eye for detail, the ability to meet deadlines, ownership of assigned tasks, and a genuine, approachable, enthusiastic manner are all important for success in this role.
