Assistant Construction Manager (Civil)

Role overview

This position is for a civil construction professional who will manage end-to-end site execution activities, monitor progress, and help ensure that project work is completed safely, on time, and to specification at the Surat project location.

What you will do

• Plan, carry out, and track civil works at the project site, covering survey work, layout setting, excavation, precast building execution, concreting for civil and foundation works, and related testing.
• Raise RFIs for site activities and follow through until they are closed in the workflow system.
• Coordinate with the EDRC team to make sure drawings and materials are available when needed.
• Handle subcontractor billing with support from the planning team and complete material reconciliation for the assigned site.
• Work with internal departments on interface-related activities, prepare an integrated schedule, and keep watch on its progress.
• Take part in progress review discussions with the department head, package manager, and project director.
• Support material inspections at the store or site in coordination with the QA/QC team.
• Make sure all work follows drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
• Coordinate closely with clients, store teams, plant and machinery teams, subcontractors, vendors, QC, planning, and safety functions to keep execution and documentation smooth.
• Bring experience in precast building work and cast-in-situ building work.

Required profile

• Strong technical understanding of precast building systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings and execute work in line with quality and safety expectations.
• Working knowledge of safety standards, including IS codes and BIS standards.
• Good communication and leadership capabilities.
• Comfortable handling client interactions to support smooth project execution.
• Skilled in PowerPoint presentations and digital reporting tools.
