Role overview

The AI/ML Engineer will join a team focused on advancing the company’s AI capabilities by building models for a range of use cases. The work involves image-based detection tasks across equirectangular, phone, and satellite imagery, including identifying doors, windows, and roof features, as well as solving challenging 3D geometry problems. The role also requires close collaboration with the labeling team to maintain strong data quality.

Important eligibility notes

This opportunity is open only to candidates currently based in Germany. The employer is specifically looking for hands-on 3D project experience, not just theoretical knowledge or skill mentions on a resume. Applicants without genuine 3D work history will not be considered, and such applications may affect eligibility for other roles within the company.

Responsibilities

The engineer will research, build, train, and deploy modern machine learning models for object detection and 3D perception using equirectangular imagery. The role also includes rapidly experimenting with new methods and technologies to create proofs of concept and demos.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent background is expected, along with strong mathematical ability. Candidates should bring experience with 3D computer vision algorithms, preferably have at least 2 years of experience building and training machine learning models, and be highly proficient in Python and PyTorch. The company is also seeking someone who is self-driven, energetic, collaborative, and comfortable working across teams. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. A solid command of English is essential. Additional advantage areas include big data systems, training very large models across multiple GPUs in the cloud, and prior work with equirectangular-image model training.
