Job description

About Fluence

Fluence (Nasdaq: FLNC) is a global leader in intelligent energy storage and optimization software for renewable energy and storage. Its software and operational services support stronger grids and help unlock the value of renewable portfolios. With successful deployments across nearly 50 markets, the company is helping reshape energy systems for a more sustainable future.

Role Overview

In this position, you will act as the fast-moving builder for Fluence’s GTM Technology and Automation team. The work focuses on designing AI agents, prototyping automation flows, creating Salesforce Flow logic, and turning ideas into working proofs of concept within days rather than weeks. The role sits at the junction of AI tools, low-code platforms, and commercial operations, and you will work closely with Sales and Marketing to convert process ideas into practical automations that get used.

You will take ownership of AI use cases across Agentforce, Gong integrations, and Salesforce-native automation. In this delivery-focused role, you will partner with the Director, the IT team, and the implementation partner to move solutions from concept to live deployment. This is a hands-on builder role for someone who prefers making working solutions over advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, tune, and improve Agentforce agents for sales scenarios such as account summaries, proposal assistance, and next-best-action suggestions.
  • Build and support Salesforce Flow automations that remove manual steps, enforce lifecycle rules, and bring relevant signals to sellers and managers at the right time.
  • Develop rapid AI and automation prototypes for review, usually with a turnaround of one to three days per prototype.
  • Assist third-party implementation partners with AI-related build choices and serve as the business-side AI reference during platform implementation.
  • Create adoption materials and internal enablement tools such as prompt guides, workflow references, quick-start assistants, and in-app help content.
  • Monitor new LLM and agent capabilities and convert useful developments into practical, controlled, and high-impact business improvements.
  • Work with IT on security checks, data access controls, and production deployment for AI-enabled workflows.
  • Join Sales and Marketing discovery sessions to define automation needs and confirm that delivered solutions reflect real business processes.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of practical experience with Salesforce automation tools, including Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, or similar declarative platforms.
  • Proven hands-on exposure to LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI agent frameworks, with direct experience building agents or model-driven automations.
  • A track record of rapidly delivering functional prototypes from scratch; evidence of shipped work is more important than certifications.
  • Comfort working closely and repeatedly with non-technical commercial stakeholders to gather needs and validate solutions.
  • Strong understanding of B2B commercial processes such as lead lifecycle management, opportunity management, pipeline reporting, and proposal workflows.
  • Good knowledge of AI-related security and governance topics, including prompt injection risk, scoped data access, and audit logging.

Additional Skills

  • Practical experience configuring Salesforce Agentforce or Einstein Copilot agents.
  • Exposure to Gong, Demandbase, or similar go-to-market platforms and how they integrate is an advantage.
  • Experience working with external implementation partners in a sprint-based delivery setup.
  • Background in energy, infrastructure, industrial SaaS, or other complex B2B environments.

Culture and Values

Fluence’s culture is built around ambitious growth, collaboration, and purpose-driven innovation. The company highlights four core pillars: giving everyone a voice, staying customer-focused, creating meaningful impact, and taking full ownership to drive progress and long-term success.
