Role Summary
As an Accountant, you will handle the company’s routine finance activities, ensure records are accurate, and support reporting and closing work. The position involves maintaining ledgers, tracking payables and receivables, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and financial analysis. This is a remote, full-time role that requires steady coordination with other teams through online communication tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial entries and keep accounting records up to date.
- Reconcile balances and ensure ledger accounts remain accurate.
- Prepare and review financial statements and closing reports.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance review.
- Monitor invoices, payments, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Help manage cash flow tracking and related finance operations.
- Support audits and assist with financial analysis when required.
- Follow accounting standards, company policies, and applicable local regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts, reporting, and general ledger handling.
- Hands-on exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in a dynamic setting.
- Comfort using accounting systems and spreadsheet tools such as ERP platforms and Excel.
- Ability to oversee payables, receivables, reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
- High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and good numerical discipline.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present finance information to non-finance colleagues.
- Capacity to work independently in a remote role, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required; CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is considered an advantage.
- Prior experience in e-commerce, technology, or automotive industries is a plus.
