What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Verify Medicaid/Medicare and commercial insurance benefits by contacting insurance companies and utilizing state portals
  • Enter admissions and client services into relevant systems
  • Obtain authorizations and re-authorizations for clients receiving care
  • Prepare reports as assigned and participate in team meetings
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive information in client accounts

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the healthcare or personal service industry
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Excel and Word
  • Understanding of issues related to authorizations and eligibility
  • Knowledge of Medicaid programs

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Prior experience in home health care or hospice services
  • Familiarity with patient care and support services
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
