Key Responsibilities

• Deliver polished editorial video content on a steady schedule and within set deadlines.
• Spot timely and newsworthy subjects, then develop them into strong stories for online viewers.
• Maintain high standards of editorial correctness, relevance, narrative quality, and overall presentation across all uploads.
• Improve discoverability by refining titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and metadata for YouTube search.
• Track performance indicators such as views, watch time, subscriber growth, and audience interaction.
• Use YouTube Analytics to draw practical insights and suggest content enhancements.
• Work closely with writers, video editors, designers, and other team members to keep production moving smoothly.
• Keep pace with breaking news, platform changes, audience trends, and developments in digital media.
• Follow copyright rules, community standards, and platform policies while publishing content.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Applicants should ideally have newsroom exposure and strong command over editorial writing and editing in English. The role also requires the ability to identify engaging digital story ideas, interpret YouTube Analytics, and understand content optimisation along with basic SEO principles. Familiarity with video editing tools will be considered an added advantage.
