About the Role

Leigh & Co. Events is a growing wedding planning business that supports engaged couples with wedding design, coordination, and full planning services. The Lead Wedding Coordinator role is a contract opportunity for someone interested in building a career in wedding planning. You can choose your own schedule, and training will be provided. The company is hiring for the 2026 season and future seasons as well.

This role is primarily on-site and functions as the lead planner on wedding day, working with client experience managers before the event and assistant coordinators during the event to help deliver a smooth celebration.

Responsibilities

  • Join a final logistics call with clients about six weeks before the wedding to review timing, expectations, and event details.
  • Run the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding and make sure the couple and wedding party understand the sequence, timing, and cues.
  • Act as the couple’s main on-site support, staying composed and solution-oriented if issues come up.
  • Supervise ceremony and reception setup so it matches the planned design and day-of execution process.
  • Oversee the wedding from vendor arrival through end-of-night breakdown.
