Role Summary
The company is looking for a highly analytical and proactive Category Management professional to join its e-commerce team. This role connects raw data with business action, helping turn insights into decisions that support category growth and operational execution.
Responsibilities
- Study consumer and retail data in depth to identify market patterns, monitor category performance, and convert complex information into practical business recommendations.
- Spot untapped opportunities by reviewing market movements, competitor gaps, and customer search behavior to identify emerging categories and unmet demand.
- Work closely with teams across marketing, supply chain, and product to keep execution aligned.
- Support daily operations by maintaining healthy inventory levels, improving digital storefront presentation, and helping onboard new vendors to expand assortment.
Requirements
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for intensive data work, with a willingness to learn tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Google Analytics.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present data-led recommendations to category managers and external partners.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, good emotional intelligence, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage several timelines while working through ambiguity.
