Role Overview
The Software Engineering team is hiring an experienced, driven engineer to work on software systems for products in the Semiconductor Test division. The work takes place in a fast-moving, multi-location development environment and is fully on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the design, development, and upkeep of IG-XL software for the UltraFLEX family ATE platform on Windows.
- Convert detailed user needs into clear software requirements and specifications.
- Create scalable, maintainable, and high-performing solutions through design, prototyping, and implementation.
- Suggest and introduce new tools, technologies, and methods that improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Work independently on assigned tasks and drive them through to completion with limited oversight.
- Partner with cross-functional and multi-site teams across regions, including marketing, customer proxy, release, and documentation, to keep work aligned day to day.
- Contribute to the team’s technical growth by sharing best practices, encouraging knowledge exchange, and supporting skill development and technical excellence.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 10 years of professional software development experience, including 5 or more years in semiconductor equipment.
- Prior exposure to ATE systems and/or hardware knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns for real-time, high-performance, multi-threaded systems.
- Demonstrated technical leadership or team-development experience, such as serving as a Technical Lead or in a similar role.
- Practical experience across the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Experience working in a multi-site environment with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work 100% on-site.
- Only candidates already based in the location will be considered; relocation support is not available.
- This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
Technical Skills
- Strong programming ability in C++ or C# with .NET Framework or .NET Core.
- Windows application development using WinForms or WPF.
- Object-oriented design, UML, and common design patterns.
- Parallel and asynchronous programming.
- Unit testing and mocking tools.
- CI/CD pipelines, automated build systems, and source control.
- Working knowledge of software delivery processes and tools such as Agile and JIRA.
