Role overview
This position is for a Site Engineer to support delivery on major construction schemes in Dublin. The hiring company is a well-established Irish contractor with ongoing work in commercial, healthcare, residential, and large infrastructure projects. What you will do
- Carry out setting out and surveying tasks on site.
- Coordinate subcontractors and day-to-day site operations.
- Check workmanship and confirm that construction meets specification requirements.
- Review drawings, plans, and other technical project documents.
- Support planning activities and help keep the programme on track.
- Complete site inspections and keep detailed, accurate records.
- Assist with health and safety measures across the project.
- Work with designers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Spot technical issues early and help resolve them effectively.
- Contribute to project updates, reporting, and progress monitoring.
Candidate profile
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related subject.
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Site Engineer.
- Strong practical experience in setting out.
- Good knowledge of construction methods and how site operations run.
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication, plus good organisation skills.
- A hands-on, proactive mindset with a focus on solving problems.
- A full driving licence.
