Overview
B&Q is hiring a Shift Lead for its Navan, County Meath store on a permanent full-time basis. The role covers 36.75 hours per week and is paid at an annual full-time equivalent salary of £27,709.50. This is a keyholder position, and shifts may begin as early as 6:00am or end as late as 10:00pm.
At B&Q, the focus is on helping customers build homes they love by providing the ideas, guidance, tools, and confidence they need. In this position, you will play an important part in creating a safe, well-run store where both customers and colleagues have a positive experience.
Role summary
As a Shift Lead, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of your shift. Your responsibility will be to keep store operations flowing smoothly, ensure the right people are in the right places, and act as the main contact for both customers and colleagues during your shift. A strong focus on safety and compliance is essential, along with the ability to lead with pace and confidence.
Key duties
- Act as the central point of activity in the store and keep daily operations on track.
- Deploy colleagues effectively so customer needs are met throughout the shift.
- Serve as the main contact for both customers and team members.
- Maintain a consistently safe environment for shoppers and staff.
