Millennium Services Group Limited is looking for dependable and professional Security Officer / 2IC staff for a shopping centre location in Invercargill, Southland, New Zealand. Work schedule and pay

The role offers an hourly rate of $28.00. Shifts are scheduled as Wednesday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday to Saturday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Key duties

• Carry out regular patrols to help protect people, property, and assets.
• Take charge of the security team when the Security Supervisor is not available.
• Present a professional, approachable security presence on site.
• React quickly to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and help requests.
• Spot potential risks, evaluate them, and act according to site procedures.
• Follow all company and site security rules and protocols.
• Prepare incident reports and keep records accurate and up to date.

What the employer is looking for

• A current Security License.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• A Certificate of Approval (COA).
• Prior experience in security work; retail security experience is an advantage.
• Availability for both day and night shifts, including weekdays and weekends.

• Strong focus on accuracy and detail.
• A dependable history of turning up on time and being reliable.
