Security Guard

Role overview

This position is focused on keeping the workplace safe by watching access to the facility, covering assigned patrol areas, and helping protect people, equipment, and property.

Key duties

• Oversee entry to the site by verifying IDs and recording visitors as they arrive.
• Carry out routine patrols to support the safety of the premises.
• Act quickly when alarms sound or when incidents and emergencies occur.
• Escalate any unusual behavior, security violations, or unsafe conditions.
• Follow company security rules and internal procedures at all times.
• Support traffic management and control access points when needed.
• Keep detailed logs of daily activity and any incidents that take place.

Requirements

• Prior work in security or a similar position is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication abilities are needed.
• You should be able to stay calm and respond effectively during emergencies.
• A working understanding of safety practices and security procedures is expected.
• The role requires physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Shift work is required, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
