About the role

Amazon is looking to bring on board an Operations / Senior Operations Manager to support its across-miles network across multiple locations. What you will do

  • Plan, build, and own end-to-end operational processes spanning fulfillment centers, sortation hubs, and last-mile delivery centers.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a motivated workforce for sort hubs with support from HR and training teams, while consistently meeting quality and productivity standards.
  • Ensure the sites have sufficient capacity to handle peak volumes.
  • Work closely with Finance, Delivery Stations, FC, and Projects teams on city operations matters.
  • Carry out performance reviews for team members and coach them to run operations efficiently.
  • Continuously refine operating processes to improve quality, reduce waste, and remove unnecessary work.
  • Study reports and operational data to find bottlenecks and raise overall performance.
  • Lead regional initiatives connected to safety, engagement, network speed, and cost optimization.
  • Run daily stand-ups, WBRs, MBRs, and peak-readiness calls.
  • Use data to diagnose performance issues and drive improvement routines such as Kaizen and continuous improvement.
  • Review and finalize labor plans to balance cost, performance expectations, and associate experience.
  • Coach operations managers, challenge existing ways of working, and promote a culture of continuous improvement while aligning with site leaders, regional leaders, and central teams on best practices.
