Role overview
This Cork-based opportunity is for a Mechanical Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of mechanical works on a live project. The role involves technical evaluation, progress tracking, reporting, and close collaboration with a broad team of engineers, specialists, and stakeholders to help deliver high-quality project outcomes.

What the role involves
- Track project progress, and escalate risks or issues to the Project Manager.
- Work with suppliers and specialist contractors to help ensure systems are commissioned successfully.
- Contribute to the development and review of mechanical design alongside the project team.
- Participate in design checks and verify equipment and system performance.
- Prepare technical submissions, equipment registers, and tracking documents.
- Carry out quality walkdowns on site and confirm compliance with project requirements.
Skills and experience needed
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services is essential.
- At least 3 years of experience in building services is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with isometrics and test packs is required.
- Strong IT capability is expected.
- Revit experience would be an advantage.
- Good planning and organisational ability is important.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach are necessary.
- Comfort working within a large multidisciplinary team is required.
