Role overview

Key responsibilities
- Develop a solid understanding of air-conditioning systems and the vapor compression cycle, and how these are used across residential, refrigeration, and commercial product segments.
- Create enclosure designs for sheet metal and plastic components using CREO.
- Work with mechanical analysis platforms such as Ansys and MSC.
- Learn and apply the qualification standards used for HVAC products.
- Carry out linear stress and vibration analyses and make sense of the results.
- Conduct basic flow studies for HVAC parts and assemblies, then interpret the findings.
- Take part in product teardowns and workshops to deepen product knowledge.
- Contribute ideas developed from benchmarking exercises and teardown observations.
Required background
Candidates should have a strong base in strength of materials, machine element design, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics. A BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering is required, along with at least 7.5 CGPA. Hands-on familiarity with CAD and CAE tools is also expected.
