Role overview
The Maintenance Supervisor is in charge of keeping all branches and facilities running smoothly by directing preventive and corrective maintenance work. This position supports the availability and reliability of buildings, equipment, and technical systems while maintaining strong standards for safety, service quality, and efficiency.
Maintenance operations
- Oversee day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance activities across all locations.
- Make sure electrical, mechanical, HVAC, lighting, civil, and interior maintenance systems are working as required.
- Act quickly when urgent maintenance problems arise to reduce downtime and disruption.
- Create, apply, and track preventive maintenance plans that support asset reliability.
- Carry out regular inspections of sites and identify maintenance needs and possible improvements.
Team leadership
- Guide, supervise, and assign work to the maintenance team across multiple branches.
- Review team output, provide coaching, and conduct performance assessments.
- Ensure all work follows company procedures, safety rules, and maintenance standards.
- Organize daily priorities so maintenance requests are completed on time.
Vendor and contractor management
- Work with outside contractors and service partners for specialized maintenance tasks.
- Assess contractor performance and confirm work meets quality expectations and agreed timelines.
- Support supplier selection and help negotiate service agreements when needed.
Procurement and inventory
- Raise purchase requests for tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
- Track inventory levels to ensure essential supplies are always available.
- Partner with the Procurement team to source materials that are cost-effective and of good quality.
Reporting and compliance
- Prepare maintenance updates, site inspection reports, and periodic performance summaries.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and suggest improvements to processes and operations.
- Maintain compliance with local regulations, safety requirements, and internal standards.
- Assist with budget planning and keep an eye on maintenance-related spending.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, Maintenance, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications in maintenance or facilities management are considered an advantage.
Experience
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in maintenance operations, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience in retail, commercial facilities, or multi-site operations is strongly preferred.
