An opportunity is available for a Logistics Officer in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role focuses on procurement and logistics support, with responsibility for purchasing coordination, supplier communication, shipment follow-up, and upkeep of related records and documentation.

What you will handle

• Oversee sourcing tasks, purchasing activities, and follow-ups with suppliers.
• Collect quotations, prepare purchase orders, and align delivery arrangements.
• Monitor shipments to make sure materials are received on schedule.
• Keep procurement, logistics, and inventory documentation accurate and up to date.
• Liaise with internal teams to understand and support material needs.
• Assist with import/export workflows and shipping-related coordination.
• Develop productive working relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Follow company procurement rules, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a similar discipline. A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in procurement and/or logistics is required. Applicants should have a solid understanding of purchasing and logistics operations, along with strong communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities. Proficiency in MS Office is expected, and prior exposure to ERP systems will be considered an advantage. The role also calls for someone who can work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
