Laundry Worker

Role Overview

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker for a long-term care setting in Beckley, West Virginia. In this role, you will help ensure that linens and personal garments are kept clean, processed efficiently, and available when needed. The position supports a resident-focused environment and contributes to the overall quality of service delivered to residents, staff, and guests.

What You’ll Do

• Gather, separate, wash, dry, fold, and deliver linens and residents’ personal clothing.
• Use laundry machines and related equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Track laundry-related activity and alert a supervisor to equipment problems or safety concerns.
• Work in line with infection-control procedures and universal precautions to support a sanitary workplace.
• Provide courteous, positive interaction with residents, team members, and visitors.
• Complete any additional tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior laundry experience is a plus, though it is not mandatory.
• You should be able to communicate professionally with residents, building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership while handling daily duties.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination rules is required.
• You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• The role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, bending, and walking.
• You need to be comfortable working around cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to follow spoken and written instructions and carry out repetitive routine work is necessary.
• Residency within the service area is required.
