About the Role
We are seeking a careful and motivated Junior Power BI Developer to join the Data & Analytics team. This opportunity is well suited to recent graduates and early-career professionals who want to build their career in data visualization, business intelligence, and insight generation.
In this position, you will partner with business teams, analysts, and data specialists to create dashboards, reports, and visual outputs that help guide both strategic and day-to-day decisions.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and support Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Collect and clarify reporting needs from business stakeholders.
- Assist with ETL tasks, including extracting, transforming, and loading data.
- Build and refine Power BI data models and their relationships.
- Help with data checks, validation, and testing of reports.
- Develop and maintain DAX formulas, measures, and KPI logic.
- Work alongside Data Analysts and Data Engineers on reporting projects.
- Investigate and resolve report performance issues and data-related errors.
- Keep records and documentation up to date for dashboards, reports, and reporting workflows.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in business intelligence delivery.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a similar discipline.
- Some exposure to Microsoft Power BI through coursework, internships, certifications, academic work, or personal projects.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of how to present data effectively and follow reporting best practices.
- Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with relational databases.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders.
- Strong focus on accuracy, structure, and organization.
- Preferred exposure to DAX, Power Query, and data modelling concepts.
- Familiarity with SQL Server, Azure Data Services, or cloud analytics platforms is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Tableau, Looker, or similar BI tools is helpful.
- Power BI certification or relevant academic coursework is a plus.
- An internship, capstone project, or personal portfolio showcasing dashboarding and reporting work is preferred.
