Job Purpose
This role is responsible for supervising facility management activities across the Abu Dhabi region. The FM Supervisor ensures buildings, infrastructure, and day-to-day operations are maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee routine facility operations to keep all assets, buildings, and services functioning safely and effectively.
- Work with the operations function to roll out preventive maintenance plans and quickly address service interruptions.
- Ensure adherence to internal procedures, health and safety rules, and all relevant regulatory obligations.
- Guide, coach, and support team members while encouraging professionalism and ongoing improvement.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to deliver services to the required quality and within cost expectations.
- Produce periodic operational reports and support planning efforts within the IFM operations team.
Qualification and Experience
The preferred candidate will have a background in facility management, engineering, or a related field. A diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Business Administration is strongly preferred. Professional certifications such as IFMA Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or an equivalent credential, will be considered an advantage.
Applicants should have a solid understanding of facility management practices, maintenance workflows, and safety compliance. A professional approach, adaptability in fast-changing environments, and a strong service mindset are important for success in this position.
Strong communication skills are needed to engage effectively with team members, contractors, and clients. The ability to make sound decisions and solve issues promptly is essential.
Experience Profile
Relevant experience in facility management or a similar discipline is required, preferably gained in integrated facility management services or operations. Previous supervisory or team lead exposure is expected, along with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop people.
Hands-on familiarity with maintenance and operational systems used in large facilities is important. The role also calls for sound judgment, the ability to work under pressure, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.
