Financial Data Analyst

Overview

This contract role is for a Financial Data Analyst working remotely. The position involves hands-on analysis of financial information, data annotation, and close collaboration with internal teams. The pay range is $40 to $70 per hour, and the expected commitment is 10 to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret detailed financial datasets so the annotations remain accurate and of high quality.
• Use advanced spreadsheet methods to structure, check, and work with large volumes of data.
• Tag, classify, and annotate financial records with a focus on consistency and precision.
• Work alongside data science and product teams to communicate useful financial observations.
• Inspect financial documents to confirm they are complete and aligned with the stated guidelines.
• Present findings clearly in writing and verbally to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Substantial relevant experience in finance, financial analysis, or a closely related area.
• Strong command of spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets at an advanced level.
• Prior experience with financial data annotation or data labeling.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Careful attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy in handling and reporting data.
