Job summary
This role is suited to an experienced and self-driven Export Merchandiser with a solid background in woven garments. The position involves overseeing the full merchandising journey, starting from product development and continuing through order execution and shipment. The selected candidate will work closely with buyers and internal teams to keep quality, costing, and delivery timelines on track.
Responsibilities
- Manage merchandising activities and follow orders through each stage of execution.
- Handle product development tasks from initial concept to final approval.
- Coordinate directly with buyers and maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders.
Preferred candidate profile
- 4 to 8+ years of experience in apparel export merchandising.
- Strong command over woven garment development and order handling.
- Practical knowledge of costing, sourcing, and vendor management.
- Background working with international buyers or export-focused organizations.
- Understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and manufacturing workflows.
- Clear communication, coordination, and negotiation abilities.
- Capability to manage several orders and deadlines at the same time.
- Prior exposure to European or US buyers.
- Hands-on involvement in product development from concept through bulk production.
- Good understanding of garment costing, pricing discussions, and cost control.
- Experience managing merchandising end-to-end, from order confirmation to shipment dispatch.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced apparel production environment.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms, T&A tracking, and order monitoring tools.
- Strong stakeholder coordination and relationship management skills.
