This opportunity comes through Trifecta Recruitment, partnering with a respected commercial builder known for repeat clients, dependable delivery, and a strong team of experienced people. The business has been operating for more than 10 years and focuses on new build work across retail, commercial, industrial, and large-format retail sectors, with projects reaching values of over $100 million.
The company is recognised for having strong leadership and well-established systems. Several senior leaders bring Tier 1 construction experience, which has helped shape a professional, structured environment while still preserving the agility and close-knit feel of a smaller builder.
With ongoing growth in the Geelong team, they are seeking a Contract Administrator dedicated to the region. This is a solid chance for someone who wants to join a builder with long-term growth plans locally.
Role overview
Working closely with experienced Project Managers and Site Managers, you will support the commercial and contractual side of projects, helping ensure financial control, subcontractor management, and smooth client administration.
Key duties
- Source, assess, and engage subcontractors, including preparing scopes of work and issuing subcontract awards.
- Prepare forecasts and track project costs to support commercial performance.
- Manage subcontract variations and process progress claims.
- Support the Project Manager with head contract and client-related administration.
What you’ll need
- At least 2–4+ years of experience as a Contract Administrator within a commercial construction business.
- Prior local experience in Victoria or elsewhere in Australia is required.
- Exposure to commercial new build projects, ideally across the full project lifecycle.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Tertiary study in construction or a related field is preferred, though practical experience is considered more important.
