Role Summary

This position focuses on operating CNC turning (lathe) equipment to support daily production needs while maintaining accuracy, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Run CNC turning and lathe machines in line with production schedules.
Carefully load raw stock and remove completed parts without damaging material or machine components.
Understand technical drawings, process documentation, and shop-floor instructions before starting work.
Adjust tool offsets and make routine machine corrections to keep dimensions within tolerance.
Carry out initial, mid-process, and final quality checks using suitable measuring tools.
Use instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and related precision tools.
Watch machine operation closely and escalate unusual behavior, faults, or stoppages to the supervisor.
Change tools when they are worn and ensure cutting tools remain in usable condition during production.
Record production output and inspection results accurately and on time.
Verify that finished parts comply with quality expectations and customer requirements.
Adhere to SOPs, safety protocols, PPE rules, and shop-floor discipline.
Keep the work area organized and clean by following 5S standards.
Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and help reduce unplanned downtime.
Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet daily output goals.
