Role Overview
This is a full-time, onsite Assistant Manager position at Store 2745106, located at 624 Holly Dr, Albany, Georgia 31705. The role is suited to someone who enjoys a busy retail setting, likes variety in daily work, and wants to grow a career in store management.
Shift Availability
Flexible availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the Store Manager in running station store operations, including staff oversight, daily task coordination, bookkeeping, and merchandising. The position also calls for helping maintain service standards, delivering quick and courteous customer support, and making sure onsite attendance is consistent and dependable.
You will also contribute to the food program operations, keep standards high, and set a strong example for the team through steady leadership, patience, and a sense of urgency.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate is comfortable leading people, handling hiring-related activities, assigning work, following up on tasks, and keeping operations organized. Strong communication, problem-solving, cash handling, safety awareness, and the ability to motivate and support others are important for success in this role.
Preferred Background
Retail experience is a plus, along with prior supervisory or management experience. Experience with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring is beneficial, as is any background working with food. Education at the high school or college level is also considered an advantage.
Physical Demands
This job requires the ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours. You may need to lift or carry up to 30 pounds from the ground to overhead for as long as 30 minutes during a shift, occasionally lift or carry up to 60 pounds from the ground to waist height, push or pull up to 20 pounds of force, and bend at the waist with some twisting for up to one hour per shift. The role also involves using your hands for grasping, reaching, and handling objects, with the possibility of climbing a ladder to store, retrieve, or place materials and signs.
