Role overview
This contract role is for an Application Support Engineer / Software Engineer based in Singapore. The position calls for solid experience with web-focused technologies, the software development life cycle, and database handling.
Core technical focus
The work involves supporting and building web-based applications, with practical exposure to Java or ASP.NET. A good grasp of validation activities, including QA, testing, and compliance-related checks, is also important.
Key responsibilities
- Support and work on web-based software solutions.
- Use Java and/or ASP.NET in development or application support tasks.
- Follow and contribute to SDLC practices across the delivery cycle.
- Carry out or assist with software validation activities such as quality checks, testing, and compliance verification.
- Work with databases including SQL Server and Oracle.
- Operate in Windows Server environments as part of day-to-day support and implementation work.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of web application development.
- Hands-on experience in Java or ASP.NET.
- Sound knowledge of SDLC methodologies.
- Familiarity with software validation processes.
- Practical experience using SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
